8reviews of Beauty In The Pot "The soup is amazing. Wonderful service. I'll definitely come back here, despite the LONG wait for a table. About 50-60 per person, which makes this kinda pricey for hot pot, but for its taste blast, totally worth it."
Last updated on February 20th, 2022,Located at KINEX mall, previously known as OneKM Shopping Mall, Beauty in the Pot is one of Paradise Groupās dining concepts. With many of us going for healthy living, Beauty in the Pot offers delectable nourishing soup bases with a wide selection of fresh ingredients for hotpot are only 2 soup bases at Beauty at the Pot ā Beauty Collagen Broth $20 per pot and Spicy Nourishing Broth $20 per pot. Simmered for more than 8 hours, the soups are freshly prepared everyday using quality ingredients. Everyone at the table exceptionally enjoyed the Beauty Collagen Broth. The dense and collagen-rich soup comprises of sharkās cartilage as the main for the Spicy Nourishing soup, it uses Chinese herbs such as red dates, wolfberries, ginseng, dang gui and dangshen. Unfortunately, the szechuan chilli oil covered the fragrance of the herbs. There are three levels of spiciness for you to choose to pair the steamboat soup include US Wagyu Ribeye $24, US Kurobuta Pork $18, Red Garoupa $28, Fresh Sea Prawns $26, Assorted Dumplings Platter $10 and all-time hotpot favourite Tang-o $6. I really like the homemade Fish Tofu $ per piece at Beauty in the Pot. The dish is prepared daily with yellowtail fish, soya bean and egg white for the perfect melt-in-the-mouth texture. Another favourite is the Specialty Homemade Paste including dried scallop fish, pork and ebiko prawn speciality at Beauty in The Pot is the homemade paste, which is one of the reasons why I am coming back. There are different types of paste available on the menu. We tried the Ebiko Prawn Paste $12 and Century Egg Fish Paste $10. Served in a bowl, we mix the paste and shape it into a ball before putting it into the soup. The ebiko and century egg provide contrasting textures to the smooth paste, which makes it very impresses me, is the service this steamboat place provides. The waitress will be constantly at our table to serve us and explain the menu, and before they leave, they will always bow to us. Aiyo, makes me feel like a queen! Oh ya, good news for supper lovers, the restaurant is opened till late at night. Be sure to make a reservation though as the restaurants can get quite packed during peak hours and festive seasons!Paradise Group has also expanded the brand into other malls around Singapore ā Beauty in The Pot at Jewel Changi Airport, Beauty in The Pot at The Centrepoint, Beauty in The Pot at The Star Vista, Beauty in The Pot at VivoCity, and lastly, Beauty in The Pot at Westgate. Itturns out that she ordered some of the popular hot pot items which are also recommended by other food bloggers. Twin pot: Beauty Collagen Soup ($15.50) + Spicy Nourishing Broth ($12.50) She ordered the classic Beauty Collagen Soup, made from Shark collagen. If I knew it was shark collagen back then, I would not have even dined at this restaurant.
Hot potāa bubbling broth in which you cook various meats vegetables, noodles, dumplings etcāis an important fixture of Chinese cuisine. Gathering family, friends and loved ones around the steaming hot pot is one of my favourite forms of communal eating. I was pleased to have the chance, therefore, to sample Beauty in the Pot on Yangonās Sayar San Road. Beauty in the Pot has all the staples of a good quality Chinese hot pot chain which is to be expected as its from Singaporeās Paradise Group. The restaurant was buzzing but not raucous in Mandarin we would say renaoā with pleasant chatter and scented steam emanating from each I sat down, I ticked off my mental hot pot check list. Large hot pot in the middle, which can be split into two small hot pots. I am not a fan of the personal hot pot which seem in vogue in Yangon. Good quality crockery. Large chopsticks for dipping and plucking, a spoon for soup, a slotted spoon for tricky extractions and an elongated sieve for noodles. Beauty in the Pot charmed me almost immediately by supplying paper bibs and little plastic bags for your phoneāboth necessary precautions for an enthusiastic hotpotter like restaurant won my heart with its dipping station. For the uninitiated, part of the hot pot experience is to create your own dipping sauce which you can coat items in between being cooked in the hot pot and entering your mouth. This station was well-stocked with soy, vinegar, oils, coriander, chilli, sha cha, sesame and well-maintained read Clean.I opted for two soups. The slightly bizarrely-named collagen-rich pot was rich from pork cartilage and featured delicious pieces of silky tofu. The malaā spicy broth was packed with Sichuan peppercorn, chili, red dates, wolfberries, ginseng, dang gui, dang shen. You can choose the spiciness on a scale from one to three diligence to you, dear reader, I ordered as broad a selection as possible of items to dunk in my pot. The vegetables were packed with flavor, the meat I had Australian beef and pork was fresh and needed only minimal cooking, the restaurantās signature meat paste was lightly flavored with white pepper and once cooked it took on just the right amount of the brothās dumplings were very good as well, a light tang from the garlic shoots with the pork and a delightfully slippery skin. The hand-pulled la mian noodles were also exceptional. The meatballs were all fresh and very tastyāin particular the squid. The taro should also be mentioned as a must-order therefore, was pretty much perfect until, dramatic pause, I found out there was no dessert option. Not even a fruit plate. Though we were handed a refreshing crushed ice lime would not stop me from coming back, when I get that hot pot yearning, however. It remains my favorite hot pot experience so far. The food was good across the board. The service was diligent offering demonstrations and advice on cooking times, at times to the point of being a little can expect to pay a little more than you might anticipate for the privilege, however, and should allocate around 20,000-30,000 kyats per head. If you think itās a little pricey and are flexible with when you hot pot, take advantage of their lunch menu and late-night deal 20 percent off between 10 pm and 1 am.
Beautyin the Pot is under the Paradise group. First time here, I would say overall, the food is good. Soup base was special. We ordered half Beauty Collagen Broth and Spicy Nourishing Pork Bone Soup. You can choose the spicy level too. The food is fresh, we like the live prawn. Really fresh! The staff are very polite.

Each of the brand's 15+ models offers several functions ā that's why the appliance is also known as a multicooker. Instant Brand's newest model, the Instant Pot Duo Crisp with Ultimate Lid, boasts an impressive 13 functions air fry, pressure cook, sautĆ©, slow cook, steam, warm, roast, bake, broil, dehydrate, yogurt, sous vide and bread proof. It has a large footprint and is the most expensive Instant Pot on the market, but if it can stand in for your air fryer, pressure cooker, slow cooker, dehydrator, sous vide circulator and rice cooker, it could be quite a steal. The experts in the Good Housekeeping Institute Kitchen Appliances and Innovation Lab put it to the test to find out if the Duo Crisp is worth the is the Instant Pot Duo Crisp with Ultimate Lid?The Instant Pot Duo Crisp with Ultimate Lid features a unique lid construction that doubles as both an air fry and a pressure cooker lid. We assess Instant Pots by testing them both for performance and ease of it came to evaluating the Instant Pot Duo Crisp with Ultimate Lid, we knew that we needed to put it through numerous tests to evaluate its vast functionality. In the Lab, we brought the cooker to pressure with water and used the quick-release function to determine the timing of each phase. We pressure-cooked rice and beef stew to evaluate the foods' textures. We slow-cooked chicken soup while tracking the temperature of both the bird and the broth to assess consistency. And we air fried chicken wings and frozen french fries to see how crispy they turned out. At home, we pressure-cooked beans, baked yellow cake and even dehydrated strawberry slices. After each test, we cleaned the multicooker by hand or in the dishwasher to assess its cleanability. We also scored whether it was easy to navigate this model's controls and to use the owner's manual. Here are the results from our recent Instant Pot Duo Crisp with Ultimate Lid testingāļø White rice While this multicooker does not have a specific rice function like some models, we still wanted to test its ability to cook grains. We used a cooking timetable from Instant Brand's website and pressure-cooked 2 cups of white rice for four minutes with a natural release which took 12 minutes. The rice that was yielded was nice and fluffy but very slightly mushy. But for a quick batch of white rice, it was pretty Bleyer / Good Housekeeping InstituteEva Bleyer / Good Housekeeping Instituteāļø Beef stew We pressure-cooked beef stew for 20 minutes with a natural release, following our Lab procedure. The beef was fairly moist and extremely tender, while the carrots and celery held their shape but were very mushy. The broth was pretty thin ā not a rich stew-like consistency ā compared to other pressure cookers that we have Bleyer / Good Housekeeping InstituteEva Bleyer / Good Housekeeping Instituteāļø Chicken soup Using the slow cook setting, we prepared a chicken soup utilizing a whole chicken and chopped vegetables. The soup was cooked for six hours and kept warm for two hours. We used thermocouples to track the temperature of six different zones four in the chicken and two in the cooking liquid every 15 minutes over the total eight-hour period. While the chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender, the meat was on the drier side. The vegetables still had a nice bite to them, but the broth was a bit watery. Eva Bleyer / Good Housekeeping InstituteEva Bleyer / Good Housekeeping Instituteāļø French fries Utilizing the air fry setting, we cooked crinkle-cut frozen french fries according to the packaging instructions. The color of the french fries was uneven Some were light, some were dark and some were perfectly golden. The color of the fries didn't exactly match with our expectations of their crispness Some of the very light-colored fries were crispy while some dark ones were a little Bleyer / Good Housekeeping InstituteEva Bleyer / Good Housekeeping Instituteāļø Chicken wings To air fry the chicken wings, we again used the cooking timetable, cooking 1 lb of chicken wings for 19 minutes at 400ĖF. The chicken wing flats were more moist and tender than the chicken wing drums, but neither were very crispy compared with those from other air fryers we have tested. While they were golden and evenly browned all over, they looked more crispy than they actually Bleyer / Good Housekeeping InstituteEva Bleyer / Good Housekeeping Instituteāļø Beans During our home-use tests, we pressure-cooked a pound of un-soaked cannellini beans for 25 minutes with a natural release. Some beans were more tender than others, but overall they were cooked rather well. āļø Yellow cake Using a boxed yellow cake mix, we baked two small loaves for 30 minutes at 350ĖF. Unfortunately, we found the cakes to be very dark in color on the exterior and a little dry on the inside. āļø Dehydrated fruit To test the dehydrate function, we dehydrated strawberry slices from three strawberries for five hours. The resulting strawberries were perfectly dehydrated ā great for topping cocktails, baked goods or of the baked yellow cakesEva Bleyer / Good Housekeeping InstituteDehydrated strawberries Eva Bleyer / Good Housekeeping InstituteThe takeaway Is the Instant Pot Duo Crisp with Ultimate Lid worth it?If you're in the market for an appliance with many functions, the Instant Pot Duo Crisp with Ultimate Lid could be a good choice. We found the control panel incredibly easy to navigate, especially for someone new to pressure cookers, and the material is durable and easy to clean. This model is heavy and has a large footprint, but if you're using it to replace several appliances, you might be leaving it out on your kitchen countertop rather than pulling it out as needed, as some do with their pressure cookers. If you're primarily interested in the air fryer setting, we would recommend checking out our best air fryer guide to ensure you get an appliance that can give you crispy, golden and juicy foods every time. And if you want a smaller and lower-cost Instant Pot with fewer functions, our best Instant Pot guide is great resource as well. However, we do think the Instant Pot Duo Crisp with Ultimate Lid performs well with all of the functions and features that it offers. Thehighlight of Beauty in the Pot's menu here is definitely their soup bases, of which there are six. Yes, six! Diners are truly spoilt for choice! Here's what we think of the 4 soup bases we tried: 1. Signature Beauty Collagen Broth: A milky and thick soup, creamy to some extent. Bountiful in flavor.
If you can beautify yourself from within by drinking collagen soup, then why not? A bowl of warm collagen soup warms the soul and nourishes your body. Who wouldnāt want it? No wonder restaurants like Beauty in The Pot which serve collagen soup are pretty popular in I dare say that Singaporeans love eating hot pot. I am not sure if it is just a Chinese thing where we like to gather around a big pot of soup and dip our favourite meat and vegetables into it. But I do know that such communal dining affairs, over comfort food, are indeed in The PotThe Post-Circuit Breaker Hot Pot ExperienceWhat we ordered?Twin pot Beauty Collagen Soup $ + Spicy Nourishing Broth $ Nagano Belly 1/2 $ Pork Collar 1/2 $ Assorted Balls Platter $ Vegetables Chinese Cabbage 1/2 $ + Lotus Root 1/2 $ + Potato slices 1/2 $ Beancurd Skin 1/2 $ Prawn PasteDessertsComplimentary Birthday CakeMy Verdict on Beauty in The PotBeauty in The PotIāve tried collagen hot pot before in Singapore but Iāve not tried Beauty in The Pot. My friends who are fans of eating hot pot often quipped about their favourite go-to hot pot restaurant ā Beauty in The Pot. With that in mind, I knew I had to make a trip there one day and so here I was ā having a hot pot lunch at Beauty in The Pot Star Vista outlet to celebrate a friendās addition, Beauty in the Pot is also one of the restaurants under Paradise Group, an established Singapore-based restaurant group. LeNu, Le Shrimp Ramen and Canton Paradise are all under its restaurant Post-Circuit Breaker Hot Pot ExperienceBefore heading into the restaurant, we were told to log into SafeEntry and then sanitise our hands. They even provided a small ziploc bag for us to keep our mask during we booked a table, we were able to get in quickly and grab a seat. The restaurant was pretty full at around lunch COVID-19, safety measures were put in place and we were specifically told not to take off our masks unless we started to eat. They even provided extra anti-bacterial serviettes so that we can clean our utensils before using table has a mini drawer packed with tissue paper and some toothpicks. Whatever we need is all at we ordered? We ordered from their restaurantās iPad. My friend has been here many times so I let her decide what to order while I just eat whatever is laid in front of me. It turns out that she ordered some of the popular hot pot items which are also recommended by other food pot Beauty Collagen Soup $ + Spicy Nourishing Broth $ ordered the classic Beauty Collagen Soup, made from Shark collagen. If I knew it was shark collagen back then, I would not have even dined at this restaurant. Sorry, I am against eating sharks. Besides I find that chicken collagen soup tasted way better than shark collagen friend ordered a hot pot duo so that we can enjoy their signature collagen soup and spicy nourishing broth which tastes like Mala my personal opinion, I prefer the collagen soup at Tsukada Nojo Bijin Nabe restaurant. The collagen soup served here tasted quite blend and diluted. The spicy nourishing broth tasted pretty average to me. Hai Di Laoās spicy Mala soup triumphs this spicy nourishing broth why people are still coming back to Beauty in The Pot for hot pot time and time again? Thatās because their soup is refillable and their hot pot ingredients are pretty good. They place the glass jars filled with soup stock at the side of your table so that you can refill the pot with soup on your though their soup tasted pretty mediocre, their side dishes like fried beancurd skin and assorted balls are relatively quite Nagano Belly 1/2 $ Pork Collar 1/2 $ Assorted Balls Platter $ Iām not quite a fan of the sliced meat but they tasted pretty alright. What stood out for me are the assorted meat balls. A couple of the meat balls are stuffed with yummy cheese Chinese Cabbage 1/2 $ + Lotus Root 1/2 $ + Potato slices 1/2 $ add some fibre to your meal, ordering some Chinese cabbage would be good. I did not really try the lotus root or potato because I was into the collagen soup, hoping that the collagen in the soup will help beautifyā my though there isnāt much solid scientific evidence to prove that consuming collagen preserves oneās youth, I still eat them anyway. After all, they are just proteins which help in muscle building Beancurd Skin 1/2 $ fried beancurd skin is a must-order dish here. You are supposed to dip the long beancurd skin roll into the soup for 3 seconds before you pop it into your mouth. It will taste soft on the outside and crunchy on the Prawn PasteThe other dish I really enjoyed is the Ebiko Prawn Paste. It comes in a raw lump of paste where you have to use the wooden spoon to shape the paste into a ball and dunk it into the soup. You can also request for their staff to shape the paste into balls for you if you have no idea how to do I should have taken a photo of the cooked prawn paste balls which are so bouncy and chewy in how much did we spend in total? It works out to be about $100 for 3 pax. I would say it is not so bad but we were feeling very full at the end of the meal. I canāt remember if they started charging for the condiments after Circuit Breaker but we did not order any sauce because we were too engrossed in drinking the in The Pot serves complimentary yuzu ice as desserts. Itās a really nice tangy drink to have after chomping down on all the savoury dishes. Itās a very refreshing drink and you can ask for more. But that day we were told that we could only ask for a one-time refill. My friend told me that they allowed unlimited refills previously Birthday CakeIf you are organising a birthday meal for a friend, it is best to bring them to restaurants which provide a complimentary birthday cake for the birthday baby. Their staff will not only serve you a beautiful cake but also some photo props for you to take pictures. You can also make a request for them to sing the birthday baby a birthday had a rainbow birthday cake given to us that day. Itās a good old buttercream sponge cake which tasted quite Verdict on Beauty in The PotOverall, the dining experience was pleasant. Their service was relatively quite good except for one instance when the staff kind of sulk at us because we asked her to take a photo of us. She seems rather irritated when we asked for another round of dessert refill as well. Beats me. Maybe she is just having a bad was mediocre in my honest opinion. Thereās only a couple of nice side dishes but other than that, itās just a decent Chinese hotpot I head back there again? I doubt so.
